Getting from Belize Airport to Belize City.

There aren’t any public buses leaving the Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) to Belize City. Taxi services are at the entrance of the Airport, costing about $60.00BZD ($ 30 USD) per taxi. Belize City is about fifteen (15) to twenty-five (25) minutes away depending on traffic. These taxis can take you directly to the Water taxi terminal on fort street, there is no need to rent a car from the Airport to the City.

Travelling alone? Before exiting the airport, try to team up with a fellow traveller. Sharing the taxi fare is one way to save. The cheap option is to walk or hitch from the Belize Intl airport terminal to the Philip Goldson Highway (about 2.5 km). A public bus (chicken buses) should pass every half-hour, except on Sundays. San Ignacio shuttle does not provide transportation between Belize City and the International Airport. The drive from Belize City to San Ignacio is easily done, with a quick stop at the car rentals nearby. With many resorts and Airbnb not easily located with recommend booking a shuttle.
